The Drone Association Thailand sent 3 Thai athletes to participate in the “20 cm Diameter Drone Soccer” competition at the Shenzhen UAV Expo 2025, held from May 23 to 25, 2025, in Shenzhen, People's Republic of China. This competition was organized by AOPA China (Aircraft Owners and Pilots Association of China), a leading civil aviation organization in China.
Participation in this competition was made possible through the main support of Drone Academic (Thailand) Co., Ltd. and Siam Airport Ground Services Co., Ltd., as well as the cooperation and support from the association’s affiliates who recognize the potential of Thai youth in technology and unmanned aerial sports.

Competition format of “Drone Soccer” with 20 cm drones
Competing in a simulated field with a net structure similar to an indoor sports arena
Use spherical drones with a diameter not exceeding 20 centimeters
Contestants must control their team’s drone to fly through the opponent’s “gate” to score points.
Score points based on the number of goals scored within the given time.
There are group stages, semi-finals and finals.

Thailand
Approximately 20 teams from around the world participated, and the competition atmosphere was lively and exciting throughout the event.
After a fierce competition, the Thai national team reached the finals and proudly secured 2nd runner-up, bringing honor and inspiration to Thai youth in aviation technology and modern sports.
